At Argonon we are committed to reducing our carbon footprint and playing an active role in supporting our industry’s drive to net zero. In 2021 we formed our own Climate Action Group, with input, inspiration, and energy from colleagues right across the Argonon group, backed by resources and investment to create our own strategy and take action to combat climate change.
During last month’s Climate Week NYC, we received our second report back from external auditors Climate Partner, who have audited our corporate carbon emissions for 2022, and compared the data to our baseline, pre-COVID figures from 2019. We are very encouraged to see a 20% reduction in our comparable carbon emissions, with a significant decrease in several areas, including energy usage, flights, and commuting.
Obviously, there is a long way to go, and we are still near the beginning of our net zero journey, but we here at Argonon are committed to implementing the changes needed to ensure that we are not only playing our part, but also providing leadership and support to drive lasting change. Partnership and information sharing is the only way that the industry will achieve its goals, and we are delighted to work with many collaborators, including the BBC, Creative UK, and Albert, on our journey to net zero.
