On Tuesday the 14th of November, our CEO, James Burstall, took part in a panel session organised by Speakers for Schools, in partnership with Into Film and PACT. The virtual event, aimed at A-level students across the UK, was entitled “What’s it like to work in TV production?” and James appeared alongside distinguished panellists including Nicola Shindler from Quay Street Productions and Sanjay Singhal of Voltage TV. The panel discussed their career journeys from starting out right up to the present day, offering inspiration, insights, and ideas for those looking to launch a career in the industry. 588 students from twenty-seven different schools tuned into the broadcast, with one teacher saying: “the students really enjoyed the talk. What they found useful was the advice on getting into a career as, although it was media based, a lot of the messages are transferable”. James greatly enjoyed taking part in the session and looks forward to collaborating with our friends at Speakers for Schools, Into Film, and PACT again in the future!
