The Argonon Group is delighted to announce that Amanda Goddard has been promoted to a newly created role of Chief Legal and Commercial Officer. The appointment sees Goddard join the Argonon board, with responsibility for supercharging the group’s legal and commercial operations across the UK and internationally, adding significant firepower to Argonon’s strategic growth strategy. Reporting into Argonon’s global CEO James Burstall, Goddard’s remit expands to incorporate all group commercial activity. Her appointment coincides with our focus on diversifying the group’s revenue streams and will see her supporting group heads to drive growth in digital platforms and FAST channels, as well as growing commercial opportunities around the group’s IP, capitalising on the group’s extensive library catalogue. Amanda’s extensive expertise in co-production and financing will also support the group’s seven content labels with the majority of Argonon’s shows now being produced via multiple and varied funding sources.

In her previous role as Director of Legal and Commercial Affairs, Goddard worked closely with Argonon’s seven UK and US-headquartered labels across all genres to support the production companies on productions, distribution and commercial offerings. Prior to Argonon, Goddard was Head of Legal and Business Affairs for PACT, providing business affairs advice for production companies. During her tenure, she assisted on the PSB’s terms of trade, collective agreements, industry guidance and policy for productions with the broadcasters.
