Bandicoot’s The Masked Singer adds comedy royalty Alan Carr to the panel

Award-winning comedian, broadcaster and national treasure Alan Carr will officially join the show for the upcoming series of Bandicoot’s The Masked Singer.

But there’s a twist! Carr will be bringing his own rival team of detectives, the ‘Wild Cards’, to the show with him to guess the identities of the celebrities hidden behind the masks. Alan and his team will go head-to-head against rival super-sleuths Davina McCall, Mo Gilligan, Maya Jama and Jonathan Ross, now known as the ‘Legends’. Carr and his team will aim to give the ‘Legends’ a run for their money to work out who is behind the masks and be crowned the best detectives of The Masked Singer 2027.

Joel Dommett also returns to host the musical guessing game, as they attempt to unmask a brand-new cast of bold and beautiful characters.

No stranger to the show, Carr previously charmed audiences as a guest panelist on The Masked Singer. Alan Carr said “I can’t wait to play detective – so excited to be shouting ‘take it off’ in the actual studio rather than on my settee at home. A dream come true”.

Katie Rawcliffe, ITV Director of Entertainment, Reality and Daytime, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Alan Carr to The Masked Singer. His wit and energy are the perfect addition to our new ‘rival panel’ and we can’t wait for viewers to see the sparks fly”.
