BossaNova Media and The Argonon Group have announced the global launch of Secrets of Flying Scotsman, a two-part 60 minute documentary series telling the story of the world’s most famous steam locomotive. The series is executive produced by BriteSpark Films’ Nick Godwin, directed by Edmund Buckley, and is produced for the international market with the series pre-bought by Channel 4 in the UK and SBS Australia.
Holly Cowdery, head of sales for BossaNova, said: “Secrets of Flying Scotsman is not just for trainspotters; it’s for anybody who loves a cracking good story. Packed with steam, speed and glamour, BriteSpark’s brilliant documentary charts the rise and fall and rise again of a British icon that has enthralled the world for more than 100 years. For BossaNova, it’s a thrill to be steering the Scotsman on what we’re sure will be another record-breaking journey on to global screens — and a privilege to be partnering once again with Channel 4 and SBS on a world-class project.”
Nick Godwin, executive producer on the series, said: “The Flying Scotsman is the world’s most famous locomotive and its journey over the last 100 years has been one of high drama, both on and off the rails. Through exclusive expert testimony, never seen before footage and access to the Flying Scotsman today, this two-part series pays tribute to a true legend of the tracks, charting the compelling story of a British icon.”
