Huge congratulations to Geeta Wedderburn, AP and researcher for BriteSpark Films, who has been included in Broadcast’s Hot Shots 2024, the prestigious annual list of rising stars across the TV industry.
With her natural skill and development in the fields of secret filming, contributor identification and relationships, and driving the news agenda, Geeta has become a crucial member of BriteSpark’s current affairs and factual team. Geeta recently led a huge FOI project working closely with Tom Porter, BriteSpark’s Director of Programmes, which led to extensive news headlines for a Dispatches investigation into Britain’s roads and has worked on other films for the Channel 4 strand including going undercover for a programme on the car industry. Geeta’s track record also includes Panorama for the BBC and Channel 5 series Scams: Don’t Get Caught Out, as well as building relationships with whistleblowers to expose high profile companies and uncovering stories for a major US network. With a group-wide focus on winning new commissions, Geeta has led on several paid developments working with Tom and Nick.
