This year’s Media, Production & Technology Show returned to Olympia, London this week, with Argonon represented by speakers across the group taking part in three high level panels.
Daniel Nettleton, Creative Director and co-founder of Bandicoot, joined the State of the Nation panel session, exploring the production landscape after a difficult year as well as global industry trends, challenges, and opportunities. The panel discussed strategies for staying competitive in a changing landscape and finding new ways of getting programmes to screen.
Jamie Lochhead, the Creative Director of Windfall Scotland offered insights on the art of documentary storytelling. This seminar offered an in-depth exploration of the genre, providing attendees with invaluable insights and skills to excel in this dynamic field, covering essential topics such as navigating challenges, access, research, and ethical considerations when producing a documentary project.
Finally, Laura Voak, a Series Producer for Windfall Films, was one of three panellists who gave a masterclass on factual programming designed to empower creators and producers with the knowledge and skills needed to bring brilliant factual programming ideas to life. The session looked at the practicalities of getting a factual project off the ground, popular topics, how to deliver a returning series and the state of the factual market today.
We would like to thank the MPTS for once again putting on a brilliant show, attended by several thousand visitors across both days. Our congratulations go to Daniel, Jamie, and Laura for being such insightful panellists!
