Channel 4’s film of Matthew Bourne’s Christmas won for the UK at this year’s Prix Italia. Leopard Films’ Matthew Bourne’s Christmas, which aired on Channel 4 in December 2011, was named the winner in the TV Performing Arts category. Executively produced by Leopard Films UK’s head of Arts and Performance Fiona Morris, the 30-minute brought Bourne’s modern work to screen as part of Channel 4’s 2011 Christmas schedule. Performed by Bourne’s ballet company New Adventures, Christmas is a celebration of his most critically-acclaimed works, and features performances from Swan Lake, Cinderella, Nutcracker! and The Car Man.
