The Masked Singer wins in Cannes

On 18th October 2023, the 9th annual Content Innovation Awards from Television Business International were held at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France, as part of the 39th annual Marché International des Programmes de Communication (MIPCOM), the world’s largest exhibition of studios and distributors and the top showcase for content across all genres and platforms, bringing together over 12,000 delegates from more than one hundred countries.

At Argonon, we are incredibly pleased that for the second year in a row, The Masked Singer and our team at Bandicoot took home two awards: Entertainment Format of the Year & Competition Show of the Year.

The awards body described The Masked Singer as a “surreal and surprising singing show that brings a sense of frivolous fun and connects friends and families across the country” and as “capturing the imagination of the audience” through “word of mouth and watercooler moments”. The judges when giving their winning verdict said the show “goes from strength to strength” and is “a very clever play on the gameshow, bonkers and great fun”.

The awards were collected by Daniel Nettleton, Bandicoot’s Creative Director. Everyone here at Argonon is incredibly proud of all the hard work and dedication the amazing team at Bandicoot put in to make this show a roaring success!
